Financial Privacy

In the USA, identity theft is one of the fastest growing financial crimes. Nearly 10 million Americans fall victim each year. The Identity Theft Resource Center reported in 2005, on average, an ID theft victim of new account and other fraud spent 60 hours resolving problems brought on by ID theft, those victims of existing accounts spent an average of 15 hours resolving problems. A 2003 Federal Trade Commission study found that identity theft also costs U.S. businesses nearly $48 billion annually, and consumers an additional $5 billion per year. A security freeze lets consumers stop thieves from getting credit in their names.
A security freeze locks, or freezes, access to the consumer credit report and credit score. Without this information, a business will not issue new credit to a thief. When the consumer wants to get new credit, he or she uses a PIN to unlock access to the credit file. These states give consumers this important weapon to prevent identity theft:

Home based jobs

We all want meaningful, legitimate opportunity that provides income and a level of flexibility. I recently came across these websites while doing research on working at home. They are listed below:
alpineaccess.com A call center provider using home-based customer service agents
intellicare.com A call center company that provides telephone services nationwide
liveops.com A call center using remote and home-based agents. Requires $30 fee for background check
workathomeagent.com Get certified to be a "at-home-agent."
workingsolutions.com - Be a home-based customer service agent.

Impact of deportation on the Caribbean

If you look at a map of the Caribbean, you'll see the many shapes representing the islands, with the largest islands to the west and the small islands to the east, curving on down to South America and ending with the following islands: Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao on the west.
The whole formation of islands is referred to as the Antilles, divided into the Greater Antilles and the Lesser Antilles. The Greater Antilles is the Caribbean's largest islands: Cuba, Hispaniola (an island shared by the Dominican Republic and Haiti), Jamaica, and Puerto Rico.
The area is divided into the Eastern and Western Caribbean. The Eastern islands are the same as the Lesser Antilles; the Western Caribbean is the Greater Antilles. The Bahamas, technically not part of the Caribbean shares its azure waters and perpetual summer.
Every island has its own Caribbean spirit; their cultures borrow heavily from their founding fathers. French food fills the air of Martinique, St. Martin, St. Barthelemy, and Guadeloupe. Dutch architecture in Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Saba, Saint Maarten, and Saint Eustatius. Spanish atmosphere in the islands of the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Montserrat, the Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos still operate as British dependencies. Former British colonies are the Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica.
The impact of deportations on the Caribbean has been so adverse that CARICOM leaders were forced to put it on the front burner when they met with U.S. President George W. Bush, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and congressional leaders, including the Congressional Black Caucus, during last month's Conference on the Caribbean in Washington.
Each year, thousands of convicted felons are returned from the United States, and while the vast majority may have been stripped of their material possessions, for many, their propensity to criminality remains intact.
In an analysis of deportation data for Guyana, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago, a recent CARICOM study found that almost 30,000 criminal offenders had been deported to those islands between 1990 and 2005.
Criminal deportation constitutes a real threat to the security of the region, and to take actions that remain true to this nation’s ideal of enhancing global security by shifting the burden of maintaining security to countries that are least equipped to do so is not wise.

Internet good or bad

I am sitting here at 8:45 am pondering about several things and the value of having the Internet at my disposal is one of them. The Internet is being used not only for fraudulent business transactions such as Ponzi scheme but also for other crime. In the US, predators who pretend to be teenagers, asking innocuous questions like where the victim lives and if the parents are not home, is victimizing girls and boys. The next thing you know, parents get the shock of their lives when they come home to find their children raped and worse, dead.
The Ponzi scheme named after Italian Charles Ponzi who in the 1900s, migrated to the US and launched a large-scale operation that swindled a lot of Americans. Pyramid scheme require their so-called “investors” to recruit at least two others to become their left and right hand “down lines” so they can earn initial commissions, with corresponding overriding commissions from other subsequent recruits.
Swiss Mutual Fund and FrancSwiss are just two examples of how Internet technology is being used, not only to dupe people but also to commit crimes, and these can often transcend borders because of the Internet. It is important that we bear in mind that the ongoing globalization will not be possible without the Internet. With the commercialization of the Internet, things previously unreachable are now available through our personal computers.
According to the Interpol data FrancSwiss promoter of easy moneymaking scheme conducted business through the Internet and is now in trouble with the law.
Swiss Cash investment utilized the Internet to conduct business the company is managed by Swiss Mutual Fund. Swiss Mutual Fund owns three websites they are SwissMutualFund.biz, SwissCash.net and SwissCash.biz, they too are in trouble with the law. The Internet has essentially made the world a global village.
My question to you, is the Internet a "real" value or a 'huge" liability?

Religion Today once published a story title "A man who convinced 2,100 Christians to invest." Investors should always be wary of any scheme that guarantees an above-market return, particularly if it involves unlisted securities or unsecured personal notes, regardless of the good-old-boy charm of the promoter. When it looks too good to be true, it generally is!
SwissCash, which advertises itself as a mutual fund company, once asked US$10,000 to US$100,000 per investor and promises returns of 25 per cent on investment.
Pacific Wealth in Murrieta had no assets of its own and was essentially a "ponzi scheme" that could be kept afloat only as long as more new investors were persuaded to come aboard. They promised rates of return ranged from about 20 percent to 300 percent. One attorney says as many as 400 people from across Arizona were victimized, along with hundreds more in California, Arkansas, Puerto Rico, Texas, Oregon and Washington. See full story at http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/allheadlines/173005
Often, religion is used to push investment in these deals. Scam artists know the vocabulary to use with Christian people, some investors, including a pastor, said they bought in these investments to raise money for church projects to aid the poor.
Wanting things, whether we get them or not, is something with which we are all extremely familiar. To deal with this problem and root out the covetousness in our hearts, we have to learn to admire without acquire. We have to learn how to say, “I appreciate that. That is great. Good for you.” Without taking it any further.

Corporate Downsizing

Quotes taken from Visual Editors website:http://www.visualeditors.com/forum/archive/orlando-sentinel-layoffs-4113.htm#SlideFrame_1
“It really sucks here today. Its very gloom. We lost six people in the newsroom, including a really good page designer and a really good graphic artist...not for performance issues, but because we are eliminating sections. I can't stand the word separated. It would sound more humane if they just said layoffs.
My husband has been laid off twice in the past, and using the word "separation" just adds insult to injury.

I would imagine if you could understand Morse Code, a tap dancer would drive you crazy (Mitch Hedberg)”

In June, employers took 1,219 mass layoff actions, seasonally adjusted, as measured by new filings for unemployment insurance benefits during the month, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics reported July 20. Each action involved at least 50 persons from a single establishment; the number of workers involved totaled 127,897, on a seasonally adjusted basis. The number of mass layoff events increased by 37 from the prior month, and the number of associated initial claims rose by 9,483.
You don't have to be laid off to be affected by corporate downsizing. Those who survive a round of job cuts often struggle with increased stress and depression, according to a British study. Steven Reinberg with HealthDay wrote an article summarizing the research.
Here's an excerpt from his story:"Employees who remained in work after downsizing may be at increased risk of being prescribed psychotropic drugs," said lead author Mika Kivimaki, from the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at University College London.
Kivimaki's team based its findings on data on the use of psychotropic drugs -- including antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and sleeping pills -- in a group of almost 27,000 municipal workers in Finland between 1994 and 2000. Among these workers, about 4,800 worked in units that experienced layof fs but kept their jobs, almost 4,300 lost their jobs, and close to 17,600 did not work in units that were downsized.
Men who lost or left their jobs were most at risk of getting a prescription for a psychotropic drug. Compared with men who worked for units with no layoffs, these men were 64 percent more likely to be given a prescription for one of these drugs, the researchers found.
However, men who kept their jobs after a layoff were also almost 50 percent more likely to be given a prescription for one of the drugs, compared with those who worked for units that were not downsized, Kivimaki's group found.
Women in downsized units were 12 percent more likely to be given a prescription. Sleeping pills were most often prescribed to men, while anti-anxiety drugs were most often prescribed to women, Kivimaki said.
How should we react when we battle anxiety, anger, and sadness? How can we face personal tragedy? Is God there? Un-churched people have problems just like churched people do. The test is not the problems in your life. The test is your faith itself.

Illegal immigrants to get ID cards

Article written by Lucy Nalpathanchil. NEW HAVEN, Connecticut (Reuters) Illegal immigrants to get ID cards in Connecticut
Starting Tuesday, New Haven will offer illegal immigrants municipal identification cards that allow access to city services such as libraries and a chance to open bank accounts. Supporters say the cards will improve public safety and give undocumented workers protections now afforded legal residents. Critics contend it will unleash a flood of illegal immigration, straining services and wasting taxpayer money.
Fatima, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, said she is eager to apply for the card. "The ID will help me because it's a way to be in this country and get people to know who you are, especially for people who crossed the border and lost their papers," she said. "I feel safe here in New Haven."

Show me the evidence

This morning during my devotion, I prayed for my unchurched friends, one particular person came to mind. He shared with me that he was now an atheist. Although we had numerous discussions on theology, personal testimonies and sermons, he saw no evidence of the existence of God.
Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. Other friends who are devout, practicing Christians refused to engage in arguments over faith because they understand that faith is ... faith. You either believe or you do not.
For example, Saint Thomas Aquinas (also Thomas of Aquin, or Aquino. 1225 – 7 March1274) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest in the Order of Preachers, a philosopher and theologian in the scholastic tradition. He tried to argue logically the existence of God. It was his life's work, and it didn't work. It didn't work because this is either something you feel within you, or it is not. Faith is ... faith.

I am who I am

Keep your guard up. Don't let people know the real you. Dress the part. Act the part. Play the role. Talk the part. People want to see you as better than the average person. Church members want to believe your marriage is always strong, your faith never falters, and you are virtually without sin. Does this sound logical to you?
But I am a regular, scared, insecure, everyday guy whose life had been touched by Jesus. I am a full-time follower of Christ who happened to be a part-time pastor. No make-believe. No posing. No playing games. I am who I am. God called me to be like Christ.

Off the pulpit

It's Saturday. I started the day with my personal devotion then a few hours preparing for Sunday's service. To wind down, I conduct devotion for older parishioners at their assisted living home.
Finally, it's 2:45pm so I proceeded on to my other job as a security supervisor, not before praying with another parishioner. As a part-time pastor I spend far more work hours off the pulpit than on.

Part-time pastor juggles to fill church

A bivocational minister can be a lot of things, but he can’t be lazy. I decided a long time ago that faith without works is dead you get out of it what you put into it.
When a hectic schedule is added to the demands of work and family, the results can be a task even to the hardiest person. I work a 40-hour week (evenings) as a security supervisor, sometimes sandwiching Sunday services with a brief nap in between before gong to my secular job. On top of that, I preside over Tuesday night Bible study and Saturday evening seniors’ devotion.
I always have my cell phone in case my congregants need me. It is not easy but it works most of the time. My days are often spent making calls or ministering to parishioners in crisis.
To succeed, yes, you must be an inspiring speaker and love people. But you should also be an inspiring human being–able to motivate people to be their best selves, even in crisis. Surprisingly, what’s required is an unquestioning faith in God.

War on Iraq

Polls suggest that Americans are frustrated with Mr. Bush's "surge" strategy and favor a draw down of forces. According to a Gallup Poll last week, 71 percent favor a proposal to remove almost all US troops from Iraq by April 2008, leaving a limited number of troops for counter terror efforts. But there remains a partisan divide. The same poll found that 54 percent of Republicans opposed the idea. It's this division that Congress appears to be reflecting. While most lawmakers oppose the administration's current strategy, they have not come to a consensus over the alternative.
All night debate fails to halt war. President George Bush's Republicans have blocked a Democratic plan to withdraw United States combat troops from Iraq by the end of April 2008 to cap a rare round-the-clock US Senate debate. Is the war with Iraq morally justifiable?
I found this at the Our Lutheran Redeemer Church (of Lexington, KY) website, you can read the full article here. The Christian View of War:
Can War Ever be Just? (With Thoughts About the War in Iraq)
By Dr. Richard P. Bucher
It was the great church father Augustine of Hippo who first sought to give some specificity to a definition of a just war. In fact, his position, which he articulated in the early Fifth Century, has long been the Church’s traditional definition of a just war. Augustine held that a just war must have five components. A just war:
(1) Must be waged for self-defense, rather than conquest, plunder, or political oppression;
(2) Must be initiated by the proper authority, i.e., lawful government, rather than an angry mob, etc.
(3) Must be fought with the right intention: peace. It should not be fought to gain land, power, wealth, etc.
(4) Must have a reasonable chance for success.
(5) Must use means proportionate to the goal. If the goal of a war is to liberate an oppressed people, for example, it makes no sense to destroy all their cities in the process, or to bring them under further subjection.
Where does the major religious denomination stand on war with Iraq? Where does your religious denomination stand?

What about green cards?

On June 13 the USA State Department issued its monthly visa bulletin listing the deadlines for foreign nationals waiting to complete the final step to apply for employment-based green cards. Instead of the usual cutoff dates, the June bulletin made the extraordinary announcement that virtually all foreign nationals already deemed eligible for green cards could apply, even those whose eligibility dates were still years away.
But when July 2 rolled around, the State Department announced that it would not be able to offer the visas. The department said "sudden backlog reductions efforts" at CIS, the agency that processes green-card applications, had caused 60,000 green-card numbers to be used up.
On Tuesday the Citizenship and Immigration Services announced that it had reversed an earlier decision and would accept and process the green-card applications of tens of thousands of foreign professionals working legally in the United States. It also extended the application deadline for those seeking green cards, or permanent residency. Will they ever get it right?

My Wife's Dodge Durango

On Friday, July 13, 2007, I received a call from my son he said that his mother’s car had died. She had the vehicle, a Toyota Corolla for about nine years, with no major problems. My son said, he was driving on the interstate when the check engine light came on. Then the car lost all oil pressure. He felt something give and a loud clicking sound was heard. Needless to say, with a similar incident happening to him only a few months ago while driving his own car, he was very discouraged. In getting to the point, the same day my wife and I talked about purchasing a vehicle.
The following day we went to a car dealership. Even if their ethics are clean, face it—they're pros at selling cars, and you're likely an amateur at buying them. The people at the dealership, nice and smiling though they may be, simply have a different objective in the car transaction than you do. Their goal always is to maximize profit. They all but held my hand at the dealership. And everything was great! We test-drive a few vehicles, but my wife wanted a SUV.
On July 14, 2007, we bought a Dodge Durango fully loaded with bells and whistles. My wife was living large! She loved her Durango. Now today Tuesday, July 17, 2007 I am about to refinance the vehicle at our Credit Union, they are giving us a better interest rate.

Overwhelm By Stress

The running around between my domestic life, secular job, being the pastor of a newly planted church and the moment to moment changes had piled up and I felt overwhelmed. Today I reflect on the nature of God and humbly admitted my weakness. This allowed me to received much needed consolation. Only when we are able to be comforted in our distress about life can we return to life's demands refreshed, and with something to give.
I believe that the gift of the Holy Spirit guarantee every hopeful, trusting and limited heart will be received by the Father and restored by the Spirit of Christ. We are assured that we will be given what we need to be secure. This will steady us and give us the freedom to enrich the world.

A time to plan

The Caribbean region has been slow to develop its occupational and private pension structures and this is certainly true in many of the smaller islands where little or no pension legislation currently exists.
Barbados is ahead of many of its neighbors in the progress being made on pension reform. The Cayman Islands has indicated its intention to reform its pension laws, which were only introduced some six years ago. Similarly, a Pensions Act is anticipated for Jamaica. Trinidad and Tobago anticipate pension reforms over coming months. There is even talk of pension regulations in the Bahamas, where no current pension scheme laws exist.
The United Nations estimates that the number of people over 60 will rise to two billion in 2050, from 600 million, with the ''oldest old,'' those 80 or older, increasing to 350 million from 70 million. They also projected that by mid-century; one third of China's population will be retirees.
It's never too late to get a jump on retirement savings, even if your job doesn't provide a plan. Save, save, save. Disciplined saving can be tough when money isn't automatically going into your retirement account before you can get your hands on it.
In the USA people who participate in 401(k) s typically get matching contributions from their employer. The most prevalent arrangement is a match of 50 cents for each dollar the worker contributes of the first 6 percent of salary.
So how do you jump start your retirement-savings effort? I signed up for such an arrangement a little over 10 years ago, and I can tell you that it's nothing short of amazing (the rule of 72) how within a few years even relatively small contributions turn into "real" money, not to mention money I'd probably had spent on meaningless little things if it had been sitting in my checking account.
One final thing you can do to improve your retirement prospects is to keep an eye out for jobs that offers comparable or better pay and benefits plus a 401(k) or pension (or both for that matter). If you can land such a job and keep up as much as possible with the saving program you will really be on the express route to a secure retirement.

Unfortunate Status

According to the Roman Catholic relief organization Caritas, the number of Christians in Iraq had plummeted to 25,000. The Greek Orthodox archbishop in Jerusalem, where only 12,000 Christians remain, is pleading with his followers not to leave. "We have to persevere," says Theodosios Atallah Hanna. "How can the land of Jesus Christ stay without Christians?" The proportion of Christians in Bethlehem, once 85 percent, is now 20 percent. Egypt's Coptic Christians, who trace the roots of their faith back to Saint Mark's preaching in the first century, used to account for 10 percent of their country's population. Now they've dwindled to an estimated 6 percent.
What are the Christians of the world doing for the place of the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Illegal Drugs 2 x 2

For the last five years, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service's National Survey on Drug Use and Health has consistently found 0.2 percent of Americans reported meth use within a month of the survey. Four times as many Americans reported regular cocaine use; 30 times more reported regular marijuana use and 90 times more reported binge drinking, according to the report's data.
The image of a teenage kids beating up their own mother so that they can steal money from her purse and the scene in which a young woman has sex in exchange for drugs will not quickly fade from memory.
In August 2005, Newsweek called meth an "epidemic" and a "plague" and slapped the headline "America's Most Dangerous Drug" on its cover.
An increasing number of people are coming to the conclusion that this so-called "war on drugs" has been lost and that other options need to be explored.
Is the current drug-control effort a waste of money and lives? Are there any alternative options?

Illegal Drugs 1 x 2

The involvement of Caribbean youth in drug distribution of marijuana from the mid-1960s to 1981, cocaine hydrochloride powder and crack from 1981 to present, the relationship between the underground economy of drugs and the corporate, capitalist economy is explored. Responding to high rates of unemployment and to other problems, young Caribbean African males established a multimillion dollar marijuana (ganja) trading network which linked cultivators on the islands with exporters/importers and street-level distributors in North American cities. By 1976, its participants had become Rastafarians, or followers of an ideology of self-reliance and indigenous development. They reinvested marijuana revenues to revive various industries. In neighborhoods, marijuana was a "positive vibration" and its distributors were lionized. However, as a child living in Jamaica, by the time I had reached the age of reason, I basically figured out that the marijuana life style was not for me.

Which is the true Church

THE Vatican sought overnight to downplay a document claiming the Roman Catholic Church was the "one true Church of Christ" after it provoked outrage among other Christian faiths.

But according to the Encyclopedia of American Religions which 1 lists 1,588 religious denominations, sects, faith groups, organizations, etc. Most are currently operating in North America; a few are defunct but have been recently active. The vast majority of them consider themselves to be Christian. Some of these groups believe that they are the only true Christian church. But how does one find out which denomination really is? Some possibilities:

  • Perhaps one of them is the true church.
  • Perhaps none of them are. All of the Christian denominations may have strayed so far from Jesus' original intent, that all may be deeply flawed.
  • Perhaps many faith groups are different manifestations of the true church - even though their rituals and practices differ.
  • Perhaps a historical faith group, now defunct, was the rightful owner of that title. There have been a lot of religious genocides down through the ages, perpetrated by which ever religious group was in power.
  • Perhaps Jesus did not intend to found a church at all; in that case, there has never been a true church.

China recalls on the news

Thomas the Tank Engine, pet food, toothpaste, and tires. The recalls have filled the papers with negative views of China exports. All of these items have low manufacturing costs and are daily consumer products.
There are many who would argue that the United States does bear some responsibility for the situation in China.

Increasing Church Growth and Income 2 x 2

David Hayward pastor of a Vineyard Church in Rothesay, New Brunswick, Canada insists, you can’t embrace the reality of the cross and pursue the security of success at the same time. He also said that he could increase the attendance at his church as well as the giving. He came up with a rather cynical list of 10 things you could do to achieve better attendance and giving:
  1. Don’t allow people to participate in the worship band or any other prominent, visible ministry who don’t have excellent attendance and who don’t tithe.
  2. Befriend the good, consistent supporters and avoid those who aren’t these things. Everyone wants to be in the inner circle.
  3. Reward those who give with frequent public recognition and praise.
  4. Teach that giving to the church is what gets God acting on our behalf.
  5. Always concoct the impression that something great is just about to happen so that the level of anticipation keeps people coming, expecting the special event to happen at anytime. Keep the excitement level high and eliminate the darker realities of human emotions from the service.
  6. Sow the idea that going to church whenever it is open is the same as being the church.
  7. Never be afraid to use fear or guilt as a motivator for beneficial results. You must realize that these are the greatest causes for seeing almost immediately the effects you want.
  8. Blame sin for the reason why people don’t advance in the church. This creates the idea that perfection is what produces promotion.
  9. Use incentives such as fund-raisers, pledge campaigns, bake-sales, auctions… anything that will fondle money out of people who normally wouldn’t let go of it so easily.
  10. Brand and market yourself and your church as wealthy, successful and positive, then play the part yourself. This will create the ethos of prosperity and success that attracts money.

Maybe you have some suggestions of your own?

Increasing Church Growth and Income 1 x 2

George Barna's research indicates that 7% of the unchurched plan to attend church this year. If churches were consistently giving a midweek or weekend night to Jesus, we could see 90% of them stay. At least 5% of the unchurched would come into the church each year. Another 33% of the unchurched are open to attending church. The most likely thing to attract them is the invitation of a friend. When they do come, we need to have a strategy to get them to stick. Rick Warren says, "For your church to grow you must be nice to people when they show up.

What banks won't tell you 3 x 3

The Rule of 72, which tells you how long it takes to double your money. 72/[return rate you’re getting] = # of years to double your money. For example, if you’re getting a 10% interest rate from an index fund, it would take you approximately 7 years (72/10) to double your money. In other words, if you invested $5,000 today, let it sit there, and earned a 10% return, you’d have $10,000 in about 7 years. And it doubles from there, too. Of course, you could have even more by adding a small amount every month using the power of compounding.
To give you an example of how much money that would be, for example, one of my kids will probably have a baby in the next couple of years. I was thinking I might put away $1,000 as a gift in an index fund. Let’s just assume it earns 10% annualized during the grandchild’s life. Guess how much it would be worth at age 63?
Age 1: $1,000
Age 7: $2,000
Age 14: $4,000
Age 21: $8,000
Age 28: $16,000
Age 35: $32,000
Age 42: $64,000
Age 49: $128,000
Age 56: $256,000
Age 63: $512,000
Basically you can see that my grandchild would be rolling hard thanks to Grandfather Rev.’s $1,000 gift 63 years prior.
And it grows from there–note how fast the money grows towards the end. Yes, this is a simplistic model that assumes a 10% return rate and yes, it leaves out inflation/taxes. But it shows you how much a $1,000 investment can grow with time–even though you didn’t add an extra dollar to it. The critical factors are time, minimizing fees/taxes, and picking sensible, long-term investments. What are you going to do today?

What banks won't tell you 2 x 3

The compound interest and financial success Rule Of 72 is the most important and simple rule of financial success. It takes two minutes and costs nothing to learn the Rule Of 72. Gain financial success faster when you command the power of compound interest, instead of allowing compound interest to enslave you.
Compound interest is powerful. Compound interest should be one of your financial success tools. Don't let compound interest work against you. Financial experts use the Rule Of 72 to command compound interest and gain financial success. Some financial service providers want you to know the Rule Of 72 so you can make wise decisions to command compound interest and compound your financial success. Other financial service providers use compound interest to enslave you and compound their own financial success. They don't want you to know the compound interest and financial success Rule Of 72.
The Rule Of 72 should be taught in every school. Every young person should understand compound interest and the simple secret to financial success, before they begin earning, investing and spending.
