Show me the evidence

This morning during my devotion, I prayed for my unchurched friends, one particular person came to mind. He shared with me that he was now an atheist. Although we had numerous discussions on theology, personal testimonies and sermons, he saw no evidence of the existence of God.
Just once wouldn't you love for someone to simply show you the evidence for God's existence? No arm-twisting. Other friends who are devout, practicing Christians refused to engage in arguments over faith because they understand that faith is ... faith. You either believe or you do not.
For example, Saint Thomas Aquinas (also Thomas of Aquin, or Aquino. 1225 – 7 March1274) was an Italian Roman Catholic priest in the Order of Preachers, a philosopher and theologian in the scholastic tradition. He tried to argue logically the existence of God. It was his life's work, and it didn't work. It didn't work because this is either something you feel within you, or it is not. Faith is ... faith.
